Just a few days ago, I realized that we have broken a record!!
And it’s one that brings me great joy.
We have been in our house for over 2 1/2 years.
That’s a big deal because in 15 years of marriage, we have lived in 13 homes.
We’ve lived in everything from a 2,600 square foot home to a 900 square foot apartment.
We have house sat in fully furnished homes.
We have lived with our parents.

While in Colorado Springs, we lived in our home in Falcon for 2 1/2 years
and we lived in our home in Monument for 2 1/2 years.
Then, we moved away from Colorado and bounced around.
We weren’t in any home for longer than 15 months over a period of 5 years.

When we moved into this house August 1, 2011, I hoped we’d be here for a very long time.
And we just passed our 2 1/2 year record!
Thankfully, there is no plans to move in the near or distant future.
Instead, we are doing home projects!

In fact, today, I have a closet to paint and Steve will be laying floors.

I love our home.
I’m thankful for my parents who helped us get into this house.
I’m thankful that all of my boxes are nicely packed away
and that my house is a mess because we’re in project mode around here.

I love our neighborhood.
I love our neighbors.
I love Castle Rock.
I’d be happy if we never moved again!
